Today my degree was finally verified by my school, which is one of the documents needed in order to apply for my board exam, the NCC.
I just sent in my application for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification exam. They have to review my application and will notify me when I'm eligible to test. I will then call the testing facility and sign up for a date. I will leave the exam knowing pass or fail but that is not good enough to officially start work. I have to wait for the NCC to mail me the official score report and then contact the TX Board of Nursing for prescribing rights. It is a bunch of hoops to jump through... I can't wait for all this to be over!
